The USAID Diaspora Invest Project, in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce in BiH and the Innovation Center Banja Luka, is pleased to announce a public call for young members of the BiH diaspora to participate in a business internship program with companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This opportunity is open to young individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who wish to gain valuable business internship experience in companies located in their homeland, aligned with their field of study, interests, and career goals.

This call is specifically aimed at individuals who belong to the BiH diaspora, including individuals of Bosnian and Herzegovinian origin who have resided abroad for at least three consecutive years within the past five years and hold Bosnian and Herzegovinian citizenship. Qualified candidates may be undergraduate or graduate students or have already completed their undergraduate or graduate studies.

Program activities will take place from July to December and will encompass various phases, such as the selection of participating companies (to be completed by the end of May), the selection of internship candidates (beginning in early June), and the finalization of internship agreements (concluding by the end of June). Preparatory training programs will be conducted online in July, followed by the actual internships occurring in July, August, or September. More detailed information regarding the internship duration will be provided in individualized plans for each program participant.

The deadline for submitting the required information is March 30th 2024.

Participation in the internship program includes financial compensation for work, accommodation, meals, local transportation expenses, as well as co-financing of round-trip airfare from the current place of residence to the location of the summer internship.
