The Twinning Project “Empowerment and Further support to the Parliaments of Bosnia and Herzegovina in EU integration tasks” funded by the European Union, needs to fill the following job vacancy:
Qualifications and skills required:
- college/university degree,
- professional fluency in written and spoken English as well as in official languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina,
- proficiency in Windows applications,
- at least 2 years similar experience,
- ability to work in a team, excellent inter-personal and communication skills,
- flexible, proactive and service-minded.
Experience in twinning or other EU-funded projects is a serious asset.
Candidates for the positions of Project Assistant:
You should have previous experience as assistant in foreign funded project(s) within Bosnia and Herzegovina. Your duties will include among others a wide range of organizational, administrative and project support tasks (assisting the day-to-day implementation of the project; office management and general tasks such as answering phone calls, filing, photocopying, sending and receiving mails); active participation in preparation and editing reports and any other relevant project documents; maintaining filing systems and facilitating the exchange of information between project partners; organization of high level conferences, workshops, training events, meetings and other visits; maintaining close contacts with BiH administration and counterparts. As part of your regular duties you will also be required to carry out translation and interpretation tasks between English and the official languages of BiH.
The position is based in Sarajevo, with occasional travels to other cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The position is announced for 7.5 months, until 31 October 2021 (duration of the project). The indicative starting date for employment is 15 March 2021.

Short-listed applicants will be notified by email by 23 February whether they are invited for the written test expected to be held between 24-26 February in Sarajevo. Selected candidates will be invited for a personal interview in Sarajevo between 8-9 March 2021.
NOTE: Twinning Manual foresees that the chosen assistant has not been a civil servant or agent of the beneficiary institutions (Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Parliament of the Federation of BiH, National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Brčko District Assembly, Cantonal Assemblies of Federation of BiH) in the past 6 months calculated at the moment of the start of the project nor is on leave from the beneficiary institutions to take up the position.
