The Opportunity
Save the Children seeks an Award Officer for the USAID-funded General Education Activity in Bosnia-Herzegovina (TABLA) – One position, Sarajevo, BiH NATIONAL only

The Award  Officer reports directly to the Chief of Party (COP) for the TABLA project. Working in close collaboration with the COP, the Award Officer focuses on the financial management, budget monitoring, and subaward management aspects of the project and ensures compliance with USAID regulations and Save the Children policies and procedures, particularly in relation to subawards, consulting contracts, and procurement of goods and services. This position works closely with all TABLA team members, other Save the Children staff (Finance, Awards Management, Supply Chain, Support Services, etc.), institutional stakeholders, and partner organizations.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

o    University Degree in business administration, finance, management or other related field.
o    At least 5 years work experience in awards management, financial management, contract or grant/sub award management, or administrative/operational role.
o    Proficiency in Microsoft Office with demonstrated experience in Excel and creating and maintaining spreadsheets and trackers;
o    Experience creating and maintaining trackers and databases, and analyzing budgets and financial data for project management and decision-making.
o    Fluency in English and B/H/S languages with experience in translation and interpretation.
o    Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks in order to meet project deadlines and requirements.
o    Good team work with related staff, partners and external associates;
o    Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisation, and presentation skills;
o    Commitment to the aims and principles of Save the Children, the organisational mandate and child safeguarding.
