Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) launched a new CSSF funded project in 2018, that operates in six countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosovo and is coordinated through a regional Western Balkans office based in Belgrade.
WFD is looking to recruit experienced Programme Managers with extensive experience in governance, political party and civil society programmes to manage WFD’s programme components in BiH under our Western Balkans programme.
The regional programme titled: “Western Balkans Democracy Initiative” will focus on three components of work:
- Strengthening Political Parties
- Strengthening Parliamentary Practice
- Strengthening Democratic Institutions and Culture
To deliver the programme, WFD has developed a team of programmatic and technical staff based in six offices across the region and further strengthening its Western Balkans office.
We are looking to recruit two experienced Programme Managers, one based at our office in Sarajevo and the other at our office in Banja Luka.
The Programme Managers will play a significant role within WFD’s BiH team, working closely with the Country Representative. They will be responsible for delivering programmes from inception through to final evaluation in accordance with programme designs and donor requirements. They will be involved in representing WFD at high-profile national and international events and engaging with senior local and international stakeholders, overseeing financial due diligence and managing budgets, and leading on the logistics of major events and activities.
The key skills we are you looking for are: In-depth political and professional programme management experience; experience of managing good governance and democracy programs, ideally with experience in parliamentary programmes (according to the JD); a background in managing funded programmes; and proven financial and senior stakeholder management skills. Excellent command of English and BiH local languages (written and oral).
Occasional national and international travel will be required.
