Prague. Riga. Srebrenica. Verdun. Have you heard about all these places, but never been there? If you are between 18 and 26 years old, enjoy travelling to foreign places with people from different countries and like to get involved in discussions, then join us on a PEACE LINE right across Europe!
You will travel in an international group for two weeks, to different places that played an important role for Europe’s history during the 20th century. Experienced team members accompany you on your journey and guide you through the programme. You will interview contemporary witnesses who will tell you about their historical accounts at first hand. You will meet young people from the regions you are visiting to exchange your views and you will discuss the impact of past events on our present-day lives.
If you want to take part in PEACE LINE, we charge a participation fee of 100€. All costs for your accommodation, meals, entrance fees and transport during the route, as well as any visa costs, are paid for by the project. In addition, we support you with a travel allowance to reduce the cost of your arrival and departure.
While elsewhere peace lines separate conflicting parties, our peace lines encourage intercultural understanding. PEACE LINE participants are young people from all over Europe – inside and outside the European Union. Find out what they think about their continent’s history and its impact on current political events. Share your experience with your community and on social media to spread the messages of PEACE LINE. Become a Peace Ambassador.
