The USAID Project Management Assistant EDO) is responsible for assisting in implementation and management of USAID’s Economic Development Office (EDO) activities. He/She will work under the direct supervision of the EDO Chief or his/her designee and will be responsible for assisting with project implementation, providing input into project design and contributing to the Mission’s overall planning and strategy to promote a focused, integrated and comprehensive USAID program of assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in the area of private sector development and economic governance.

The primary function of the position holder is to provide expert research, advice and coordination on issues affecting private sector development from the international and BiH perspective, support EDO in the planning, design, development, and monitoring of USAID programs in assigned area of economic growth, particularly economic governance issues, agribusiness, manufacturing, bank guarantees, diaspora investment, energy, taxation, and tourism, and perform other duties as requested. He/she will coordinate within the Mission to ensure EDO projects are harmonized with Mission Strategy and other ongoing Mission activities. The work includes a variety of complex research, extensive writing, editing, quality control of official documents, reporting, contact, monitoring, and analytical duties, and coordinating work with the EDO Chief, senior EDO Specialists, and other EDO counterparts. The work may also include specific assistance to EDO team members on individual tasks.

S/he will help coordinate multiple USAID offices and sections in developing coherent and coordinated policy documents on cross-cutting issues affecting USAID’s work, as well as help ensure strong collaboration with other US Embassy offices on such issues.
