MUNIVERSAL 2020

13 maj

Today, we stand in front of a great and unfortunate event, the impact
of the COVID-19 virus, which has spread around the world deeply affected
every aspect of our lives and posed a threat to humanity as we know it.
We need to take action among us, and taking action is critical to
thinking about the growth of young people and their maturity rather than
keeping them isolated from society’s issues and ignorant. Our cities may
be on lockdown, but the spirit underneath must keep roaming and growing
to preserve life because life always finds to keep going. Therefore we
must not give up on learning, discovering, and most importantly,
promoting the will to do good. That will is what we are going to
preserve in these times of difficulty.

Hence, we have chosen to continue the journey of Model United Nations
with the same courage, desire, and determination we shared before this
unfortunate time. We are in a time of technological advancement, a time
where intercontinental communication, online tutoring, and internet
connections are possible. Consequently, we have decided to organize an
online international session of Model United Nations to help spread
education and hope worldwide. The purpose and task at hand would be
difficult to accomplish now more than ever given the situation we are
in. However, we need to keep our minds sharp and fresh, continue our
education through self-development, and see the true heroes, the heroes
that live among us eager to burst out into a world full of potential and
will.

By joining us in our attempt to utilize our best efforts around the
world to preserve and carry on with our forever mission to enhance this
world that we live in into a more advanced, prosperous, and peaceful, we
will be forever grateful for your effort in achieving this common goal.
