For the first time, the Balkans Youth Council is hosting the Balkans NATO Youth Summit, which is going to take place between 30 September – 3 October 2020 in Sarajevo / Bosnia & Herzegovina.
The Youth summit is a part of Balkans Youth Council program for 2020, under the diplomatic simulations section which seek to familiarize young professionals with NATO structure, committees, current agenda and the most important one, its vision for the future of security in the Balkans region. Also through this program we seek to prepare young professionals as diplomats in the future, and we strongly believe that the best way to do so, is by involving them as delegates in diplomatic simulations.
The Conference will have 2 chair persons, 1 rapporteur, 108 delegates ( 3 delegates for each NATO member country), 1 delegate per each partner country and two subtopics based on the main topic: Boosting Connectivity & Security in Balkans region.
This application form is for chairs, rapporteurs, observers, journalists and organizing staff.
- The organizing staff will be composed only by citizens of Bosnia & Herzegovina.
- Travel costs, accommodation and meals for the chairs and rapporteurs will be covered by Balkans Youth Council. Also the necessary costs for staff expenses will be covered by Balkans Youth Council.
- The two subtopics will be decided between Balkans Youth Council organizers & chairs of the committee.
The application period for staff, chairpersons, rapporteurs and journalists will be open from 10 February – 30 March 2020.
