SOUTH EAST EUROPEAN YOUTH NETWORK is a Network gathering 22 youth organisations from SEE region to engage in peace and reconciliation, community development, economic empowerment and solidarity programmes through capacity building, advocacy, social innovations development and cooperation.

SEEYN PROGRAMME AREAS:

PEACE AND DEMOCRACY DEVELOPMENT

  • Mobility programs for peace and reconciliation;
  • Educational programs for peace and reconciliation;
  • Research and advocacy initiatives;
  • Innovative approach;

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND SOLIDARITY

  • Research on volunteering inspiring and comparative practice
  • Advocacy on creation and adoption of volunteering policies in SEE;
  • Establishment of the National Volunteer Services and Local Volunteer Centres;
  • Opportunities for young people to engage in the community and higher inclusivity;

YOUTH EMPLOYABILITY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP

  • Building capacities in the field of social innovation development
  • Awareness-raising campaigns related to employment and social innovation;
  • Cross-sectoral cooperation;
  • Innovative approach;

SOUTH EAST EUROPEAN BRIDGE

EDUCATIONAL AND RESOURCE CENTRE is the mechanism within SEEYN that in specific ways supports the SEEYN programmes and functioning. It provides expertise, capacity building, educational activities, space for innovation and experimentation, research and various resources to actively contribute to high quality of SEEYN programmes and provide services to Member Organizations.

OBJECTIVES OF SEEYN EDUCATION AND RESOURCE CENTRE

  • To support implementations of the SEEYN programme areas: Peace and democracy development, Community
    development and solidarity, Youth employment and entrepreneurship, SEE Bridge and Youth Hive;
  • To provide all regular staff, youth workers, volunteers and activists in member organizations, statutory bodies of SEEYN,
    partner organizations and institutions with the necessary competencies to perform their work effectively and provide
    quality opportunities for networking with relevant stakeholders;
  • To ensure quality and lead the development of innovation in youth field focusing on SEEYN programme areas;
  • To establish and support community of practice among experts through fostering the space for peer support, their
    personal and professional development, exchange of good practice and experience among experts in youth field.

SEEYN POOL OF EXPERTS

SEEYN POOL OF EXPERTS is an instrument inside of the SEEYN Education and Resource Centre established to achieve those objectives, which gathers various experts and aims to facilitate empowerment of individuals and organizations, to be an important resource of knowledge, skills, experience and expertise which contributes to improvement, development and capacity building.

Pool of Experts gathers various types of experts with different expertise and competences needed for implementation of SEEYN

Education and Resource Centre activities:

  • TRAINERS:
    – SENIOR TRAINERS
    – JUNIOR TRAINERS
  • RESEARCHERS
  • INNOVATORS
  • CONSULTANTS
  • SUPPORT STAFF

You can apply for one or more of the positions (you can apply for more than one position in the same time ONLY if you are applying for trainer, researcher, innovator and consultant) if you are a motivated individual matching following criteria:

TRAINERS

For this position you can apply if you are EITHER trainer coming from SEEYN member/partner organizations OR freelancer familiar with SEEYN mission, vision and Educational approach. They are working under direct supervision of Training Manager.
In general, each trainer may apply for position of junior or senior trainer regarding given criteria. The transition from junior to senior trainer is done by Training Manager and according to SEEYN Education and Research Centre Policy.

JUNIOR TRAINER is a person who:

  • Is active in SEEYN member organization (as leader, coordinator, youth worker etc.) at least 2 years;
  • Has some experience as a trainer/training assistant in international or local trainings (at least 30 hours of active work);
  • Participated in at least 2 International Training courses (as participant);
  • Has some experience as leader in intercultural activities such as a work camp, youth exchange or similar activities;
  • Has demonstrated interest in topics related to SEEYN objectives and main key programme areas;
  • Has ability to run some part of sessions independently (such as selected workshops, working groups etc.)
  • Has good communication skills;
  • Has ability to work in intercultural environment;
  • Has very good level of both spoken and written English language;
  • Has positive attitude towards learning and feedback on their trainer performance in order to develop as a trainer.

SENIOR TRAINER is a person who:

  • Has extensive professional experience in international, national and local trainings;
  • Has experience in developing of training programme and modules according to principles of non-formal education or specific
    learning needs and objectives;
  • Has competences to deliver complete training sessions independently;
  • Has specific field of expertise related with SEEYN objectives and main key programme areas;
  • Has very strong communication competences;
  • Has sense of initiative, creativity and innovation;
  • Has a sense of urgency and ability to quickly react to situation;
  • Has a sense of teamwork and willingness to share his/her experience with others;
  • Is active in youth/volunteering/non-formal education field at least 3 years;
  • As a trainer was in charge of at least 5 international and 5 national/local trainings – must be visible in CV;
  • No age limit;
  • Have excellent level of both spoken and written English language;
  • Has positive attitude towards learning and feedback on their trainer performance in order to develop as a trainer.

RESEARCHERS

Researchers are experts who conducts research, i.e., an organized and systematic investigation according to the SEEYN topics and needs of SEEYN bodies, member organizations or other stakeholders. They undertake creative and systematic work to increase the stock of knowledge and information within SEEYN Education and Resource Centre.

You can apply for this position if you are EITHER a researcher coming from SEEYN member/partner organizations OR freelancer familiar with SEEYN mission, vision and educational approach. They are working under direct supervision of Training Manager.

SEEYN RESEARCHER is a person who:

  • Has proven extensive experience in research activities;
  • Has ability to carry out complete research under supervision individually or in team;
  • Has the competence to use various research methodologies and develop relevant research instruments;
  • Has demonstrated the ability to analyse and present collected data;
  • Is capable of critical analysis, evaluation and synthesis of new and complex ideas;
  • Is able to present the outcome of research (and value thereof) in clear and reader-friendly manner;
  • Has the expertise, knowledge and understanding of the specific research topic;
  • Open to interact with practice in order to valorise the findings and is able to collaborate in multidiscipline teams.

INNOVATORS (in youth field and thematic areas of SEEYN)

Innovators is a person who introduces new methods, approaches, ideas, or products. You can apply for this position if you are EITHER coming from SEEYN member/partner organizations OR you are a freelancer familiar with SEEYN mission, vision and educational approach. They are working under direct supervision of Training Manager.

SEEYN INNOVATOR is a person who:

  • Has sense for creating and developing new approaches; o Is familiar with the innovation techniques and methodologies;
  • Has spirit of a seeker, builder, explorer or experimenter;
  • Has experience in re-innovating, re-thinking and transforming various existing methods, activities, systems;
  • Has experience in ideation, prototyping and testing new forms;
  • Can think beyond the frames;
  • Is confident enough to respond to changes and challenges in the SEEYN programme areas.

CONSULTANTS

The consultants are professionals who provide expert advice in a particular area related to SEEYN objectives and key programme areas, have extensive expertise in a specific field and have a wide knowledge of the subject matter.

For this position can apply consultants coming from SEEYN member/partner organizations or freelancers that are familiar with SEEYN mission, vision and Educational approach.

They are working under direct supervision of Training Manager and indirect supervision of Executive Director and Steering Board.

SEEYN CONSULTANT is person who:

  • Has proven extensive experience in consulting activities/work in SEEYN programme areas topics (see the top of the document) and with various stakeholders;
  • Has extensive experience in organisational development;
  • Has the demonstrated competences to provide the consultancy service based on needs and in high quality level;
  • High level of attention to detail;
  • Has experience in all elements of the consulting life cycle;
  • Ability to produce quality work within a deadline and under pressure;
  • Is flexible and adaptable to changing demands and needs;
  • Highly developed communication skills;
  • Establishes and maintains productive working relationships;
  • Has ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;

SUPPORTING STAFF

To ensure quality of project implementation, during each Educational activity minimum 1 support staff person needs to be involved. Support staff is working under direct supervisor or together with Training Manager (applicable for SEEYN Activities) or Activity Coordinator and are responsible for the logistic arrangements and whole organizational management of event.

SUPPORT STAFF is person who:

  • Has experience in arranging logistical aspects of an international/local activity and event;
  • Has demonstrated competences to organize and manage different types of activities with participants of different backgrounds;
  • Has experience in financial/budget management and administration tasks;
  • Ability to produce quality work within a deadline and under pressure;
  • Is flexible and adaptable to changing demands and needs;
  • Highly developed communication skills;
  • Establishes and maintains productive working relationships;
  • Has ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
  • Has attention to details, sense of urgency and ability to quickly react to situation;
  • Has proven abilities to successfully deal with difficult situations and high sense of responsibility;
  • Has high risk management skills.
