Fuckup Nights is a global movement and event series that shares stories of professional failure. Each month, in events across the globe, we get three to four people to get up in front of a room full of strangers to share their own professional fuckup. The stories of the business that crashes and burns, the partnership deal that goes sour, the product that has to be recalled, we tell them all.

Business Researcher

Position Overview: The Business Researcher will be in charge of leading research projects, writing reports, collecting, analyzing and interpreting the data collected by Fuckup Nights and our Researchers Network. We are looking for someone experienced in innovative research methods and great writing skills.

Requirements:

  • A mix of strong analytical, research, and communications skills, with an emphasis on the ability to communicate the results of quantitative analyses

EMEA Community and Operations Coordinator

Position Overview: The global coordinator is a junior position responsible for the growth and engagement of the movement. This full-time position based in Palma de Mallorca will report directly to the Director of Fuckup Nights.

As the EMEA Community and Operations Coordinator your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Support our global community of 300+ active cities with special focus on the EMEA region
  • Host onboarding calls with people around the world interested in becoming Fuckuppers (local organizers)
  • Host calls with Fuckuppers to support them and build relationships
  • Assure event quality and frequency
  • Design, pilot and measure global community building processes
  • Edit, design and share resources with Fuckuppers
  • Update global CRM
  • Update website’s backend and frontend (WordPress basic skills)
  • Implement new processes proposed or designed by the team
  • Analyze growth insights and report them weekly
  • Identify potential organizers (Fuckuppers) in cities where we don’t have presence

Requirements:

  • Speaks native or fully fluent English and Spanish. Fluency in other languages is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Can work comfortably with Gsuite: Gmail, Google Drive, Google docs, Calendar, etc
  • High organizational skills with focus on quality and prioritizing
  • Must be high energy, have positive attitude, and enjoy working with people

Admin and Operations Associate

Position Overview: Provide financial and administrative support to grow our operational infrastructure at a global scale. Day-to-day will consist of a mix of back office, billing, and accounting activities; as well as coordinating with Fuckuppers (local organizers) through administrative management and customer support. Periodically we will review our financial position and goals to help build the capacity of our global community and its rapid expansion.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Global Community:
    • Manage payments information in CRM, maintaining database integrity
    • Produce membership reports for the team
    • Create weekly reports to show a picture of payments, including new Fuckuppers, terminations, churn rate, growth rates
    • Facilitate all membership payment issues, collection, hibernation and special arrangements
    • Set up and execute monthly billings via credit card (Conekta and PayPal)
  • Accounting:
    • Reconcile monthly receivables and revenues
    • Manage business unit sales pipelines to inform cashflow positions
    • Monthly payroll processing and journal entry
    • File and pay taxes
    • Align fiscal strategy with advisors
  • Enterprise:
    • Research outstanding receivables and negotiate payments, if appropriate
    • Manage the process to register as vendor for national and international corporations
    • Manage vendor relationships and accounts
  • Office Management
    • Conduct legal procedures to support global operation
    • Administration of office policies and benefits

Sales Lead

Position Overview: This individual will be responsible for negotiation and closing of leads interested in the FUN experience. This full time position will report directly to the CEO of Fuckup, Inc.

As a successful Sales Lead your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Negotiate and close Enterprise deals.
  • Prospect, qualify, and nurture leads through the sales cycle resulting in Enterprise partners.
  • Assure a FUN experience for the lead from first contact to hand over to Operations.
  • Carry out processes implemented by the Directors.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own the inbound sales process: lead qualification, sales calls, negotiation, follow-up, and closing.
  • Own the sales process for opportunities generated by outbound.
  • Manage the sales pipeline in an organized and structured way.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with leads and partners.
  • Analyze data to help improve sales processes and strategy.
  • Create and implement solutions to grow our impact on partners and Fuckuppers.
  • Coordinate with other teams to increase lead generation efforts.
  • Create automated processes and platforms to generate efficiencies.
  • Attend sales and team meetings and provide solutions and insights.
  • Execute strategy and processes coordinated by the Managing Director and CEO.
  • Provide regular updates to your team about sales funnel, objectives and processes.
