Deadline for applications: 28 February 2018, 6pm Central European Time
This is a new opportunity with ILGA, the world federation of more than 1300 LGBTI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex) member organizations.

ILGA’s Gender Identity and Gender Expression Programme has been in operation since 2015, addressing the human rights issues facing trans and gender diverse people. It does so by utilising United Nations mechanisms, conducting legal and social research, and engaging in trans movement building at international and regional levels.

The intern will assist the programme through supporting these three areas of work, depending on their interests and experience, and operational needs.

It is an excellent opportunity for somebody who has a demonstrated interest in trans-specific human rights and wants to gain experience working in an international LGBTI organisation.

The internship is virtual, and the intern can be based anywhere with good internet connection. The internship is for a period of five months, commencing on 16 April 2018 and ending on 14 September 2018. The candidate would ideally be available to work full-time.
